Paul Muni (Nombre artístico de Frederick Muni Meyer Weisenfreund; Lwow, Polonia, 1895- Santa Bárbara, California, Estados Unidos, 1967), actor cinematográfico norteamericano. Hijo de una familia de actores israelitas, hizo tournées teatrales en Inglaterra y Estados Unidos hasta que, pasado al cine en 1929, en 1932 obtuvo un gran éxito en una de las primeras películas del cine de gángsters, Scarface. Dotado de un poderoso sentido dramático, supo dar veracidad a sus personajes en películas como: ● I'm a Fugitive From a Chain Gang (Soy un fugitivo, 1932) ● The World Changes (El mundo cambia, 1933) ● Bordertown (Barreras infranqueables, 1935) ● Dr. Socrates (1935) ● The Story of Louis Pasteur (La tragedia de Louis Pasteur, 1935) ● The Life of Émile Zola (1937) ● Hudson's Bay (El renegado, 1940) ● A Song to Remember (Canción inolvidable, 1944) ● The Last Angry Man (1959).
